Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 200 g dark chocolate (70%)
  • 50 g butter
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 3 eggs
  • 40 g flour
  • 250 g chestnut cream (crème de marrons)

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 25 minutes; Total time approx. 35 minutes

French chocolate cake with chestnut cream

Preheat the oven to 170°C (top/bottom heat). Melt the dark chocolate and butter in a double boiler or in the microwave. Whisk the eggs with the crème de marrons, then add the flour and mix well. Add the melted chocolate and mix well. Pour the batter into a 22cm cake pan. Bake in the hot oven for about 25 minutes. Tip: I like the fondant best served very warm. Vanilla ice cream is also great with it.
