Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 3 eggs
  • 125 g sugar
  • 100 g flour
  • 200 g dark chocolate, min. 60%
  • 15 cl water
  • 125 g butter, salted, cut into pieces
  • Fat, for the shape

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Rest time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 50 minutes

Chocolate fondant, French recipe

In a bowl, whisk together the eggs and sugar. Then add the flour and mix until smooth. Preheat the oven to 200°C (fan). Cut the chocolate into pieces and melt them with the water in the microwave for 2 minutes. Then add the butter and melt it back in the microwave. Mix the chocolate and flour mixture well. Pour the batter into a greased loaf pan and bake in the oven for 15 minutes. Let the fondant cool for 15 minutes, then remove from the pan and serve while still warm. Note: the cake does not have to be completely set when removed from the oven. The chocolate will firm up as it cools.
