Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 100 g bacon, fat, salted, diced
  • 2 tbsp flour
  • 1 liter of milk
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tbsp butter

Grandma’s recipe…very cheap

Fry the bacon in a pan. Add the flour and make a roux. Deglaze with the milk, stir well, and bring to a boil. Add salt. When it’s ready (a thick, creamy sauce), pour the butter on top. It’s eaten as follows: Everyone cuts one (or more) slices of bread into approximately 2×2 cm pieces, pierces them with a fork, and then dips the fork into the skewer and eats. A really great recipe for getting rid of slightly drier bread without a fuss. A great base before a game of “Boßeln” (a game of “Klootscheeten” or “Kalkohltour”).
