Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • Mint, several stems
  • 5 cl rum (Havana Club, 3 years old)
  • 2 cl lime juice
  • 2 tsp, heaped brown cane sugar
  • 2 tsp sugar syrup
  • Ice cubes (as large as possible)
  • Mineral water, carbonated

Instructions

Working time approx. 5 minutes; Total time approx. 5 minutes

Set aside a sprig of mint for garnish. Lightly crush the remaining mint in a tall (300 ml) glass with a mortar and pestle. Add the sugar and simple syrup. Fill the glass with ice cubes. Pour over the lemon juice and rum, then top up with sparkling water. Garnish with the mint sprig and serve with a straw.
