- 300 g flour, sifted
- 220 g sugar
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 3 m.-large banana(s), mashed
- 125 g butter, melted
- 2 eggs, lightly beaten
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 cup chocolate chips
- powdered sugar

Chocolate banana cake, Australian recipe
Preheat the oven to 180°C (top/bottom heat). In a bowl, combine the sifted flour, baking powder, and sugar. In another bowl, combine the bananas (preferably mashed with a hand blender), eggs, butter, vanilla extract, and chocolate chips with a hand mixer. Then add the dry ingredients and mix everything into a smooth batter. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan. Bake in the hot oven for 1 hour 15 minutes. Sprinkle the cake with powdered sugar immediately and serve while still warm. It also tastes delicious cold.
