Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 480 g flour
  • 2 tbsp cocoa powder
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 360 g sugar
  • 4 tbsp butter, melted
  • Milk and a pinch of salt
  • 360 g brown sugar
  • 720 ml water, hot
  • 2 tbsp cocoa powder

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

Chocolate cake with a twist

Preheat oven to 180°C. Combine flour, cocoa, baking powder, sugar, and salt with the melted butter. Add milk until the batter is smooth. Pour the mixture into a sealed, ungreased metal dish. Dissolve the remaining cocoa and sugar in the hot water. Then carefully pour over the batter. Bake for about 1 hour. Tastes best lukewarm, but is also delicious cold.
