low-fat, myline

Cut the prepared apples into thin slices, sprinkle with a little sugar, and let them soak. Mix the bread with the maple syrup, honey, milk, and spices. Grease a baking dish and press half of the bread mixture firmly into the bottom. Spread the apples evenly on top, cover with the remaining bread mixture, and press firmly down again. Place small knobs of butter on top and bake in the oven at 150°C for 45-60 minutes. If you like, you can sprinkle the whole thing with a little powdered sugar. For all myline fans: Sprinkle 2 tablespoons of vanilla powder over the apples. The apple beggar can be served for breakfast, as a snack, or as a cake alternative.
