A special kind of snack. Recipe from Bali, Indonesia.
Cut off both ends of the washed cucumber, halve lengthwise, and remove the seeds. Cut the halves lengthwise into approximately 1 cm wide strips and then cut them into 1.5 cm long strips. Peel and roughly chop the onions. Remove the stems from the washed tomatoes, quarter them lengthwise, remove the green and white stem ends, and cut the quarters crosswise into thirds. Trim the washed snow peas and halve them diagonally. Cut out one segment of the washed bell peppers lengthwise, clean them, cut them lengthwise into approximately 1 cm wide strips, and cut them crosswise into 2 cm long strips. Halve the washed grapes lengthwise and, if necessary, deseed them. Crack the eggs, whisk them with a pinch of salt and pepper, and fry them with the sesame oil until scrambled. Press the peeled garlic cloves into a small bowl, add the salt, pepper, and the mixed herbs. Mix with the orange juice until smooth. Then combine the tomato ketchup, white wine vinegar, and rice wine to make the dressing. About 15 minutes before serving, mix the dressing into the salad. Five minutes before serving, stir in the olive oil. Divide the salad among serving plates, garnish with peanuts and, if desired, flowers and leaves, serve, and enjoy.
