Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 500 g sauerkraut
  • ¼ liter of water
  • 1 cube of meat broth, for half a liter
  • 4 tbsp oil
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • salt and pepper
  • 1 apple
  • Juniper berry(s)

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Add water, meat stock cubes, oil, sugar, pepper, and salt to the pressure cooker and bring to a boil. Add the diced apple, sauerkraut, and juniper berries. Close the pot. Cooking time: 10-15 minutes for raw sauerkraut, 6-8 minutes for canned sauerkraut. Immediately after cooking, slowly lower the heat control and open the pressure cooker. Season the sauerkraut to taste. Tip: When using raw sauerkraut, reserve about 50 g and mix it in after cooking.
