Chicken -Basian Style-

The perfect chicken -basian style- recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 600 g Boneless chicken legs
  • Sweet paprika powder
  • 1 pinch Mace
  • Garlic pepper from my KB
  • Seasoning salt from my KB
  • 4 Pc. Fresh onions
  • 2 Pc. Garlic cloves
  • 4 size Red pointed peppers
  • 300 g Tomatoes
  • 100 g Smoked raw ham
  • 3 tbsp Tomato paste
  • 200 ml White wine dry
  • 100 ml Water
  • 2 piece Bay leaves
  • 1 tsp Sugar
  • 2 tbsp Vinegar
  • Telly cherry pepper
  • Finely chopped parsley
  • Oil
  1. Season the chicken with paprika, garlic pepper, seasoned salt and mace. Put in a cool place!
  2. Clean and wash the paprika and cut into 1cm thick strips. Peel the onions and garlic cloves. Cut the onions into fine wedges and finely grate the garlic! Wash tomatoes, cut in half, remove the stalk and dice. Cut ham into strips.
  3. Heat the oil in a roasting pan and sear the chicken in it. Then take it out of the roaster. Then fry the onions and ham in the same frying fat until crispy, then add the paprika strips and sizzle briefly, then roast the tomato paste and add the tomatoes. Mix well and deglaze with white wine and water. Add the bay leaves, some seasoned salt and garlic pepper.
  4. Put the fried chicken in the vegetable sauce and cover well! Let simmer for an hour on a light heat! Then add sugar, vinegar, pepper, seasoned salt and garlic pepper to taste. Serve with parsley and the desired side dish.
  5. We also had noodles with us. Traditionally, baguette or rice is served with it! But we only had both of those days! 🙂
