Franconian bratwurst salad

Spread the love

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 12 sausages (Nuremberg bratwurst), preferably fresh
  • 1 bunch of radishes
  • 1 bunch of lamb’s lettuce
  • ½ tsp mustard, medium hot
  • 2 tbsp oil
  • 1 ½ tbsp vinegar
  • some salt and pepper

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Rest time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Fry the sausages and let them cool slightly, then cut into bite-sized pieces. Slice the radishes and lightly drain them with salt (but it works without, as the salad will be crispier). Wash and dry the lamb’s lettuce. The amount of lamb’s lettuce shouldn’t exceed the number of radishes by much. Combine all ingredients, add oil, vinegar, and mustard, and mix well. Season with salt and pepper and let stand for about 10 minutes. Note: Lamb’s lettuce isn’t required; you can also prepare the salad without it.
