Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 180 ml milk
  • 2 tbsp white wine vinegar
  • 125 g flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • ½ tsp baking soda
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 1 egg(s)
  • 30 g butter, melted
  • some oil for frying

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Rest time approx. 5 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Combine the milk and white wine vinegar in a large bowl and set aside for about five minutes. In another bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and sugar. Whisk the egg and melted butter into the milk and vinegar mixture. Then whisk in the dry flour mixture until a smooth, lump-free batter forms. Cook the batter in batches in a pan with a little oil over medium heat until golden brown on both sides.
