Ingredients for 4 servings:
- 1 kg potatoes, raw
- ¼ liter of milk
- 250 g flour
- 1 egg(s)
- 100 g sugar
- 1 pinch of salt
- 500 g apples
- 2 tbsp butter
Instructions
Working time approx. 30 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 45 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour 15 minutes
Place a kitchen towel in a large bowl. Grate the potatoes into the towel (as you would for potato pancakes). Squeeze out the excess water and set aside. Pour the hot milk over the potatoes. Add the flour, egg, sugar, and salt and mix until smooth. Peel or pit the fruit and stir it into the batter. Pour the mixture into a greased casserole dish and drizzle with melted butter. Bake in a preheated oven at 200°C (top/bottom heat) until golden or reddish brown. Takes about 45 minutes. Allow to cool slightly and serve warm. The casserole can also be eaten cold. The original recipe calls for less sugar, so you can be generous with the quantities.
