Sweet and sour sauce

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 2 tsp potato flour
  • 4 tbsp water
  • 4 tbsp pineapple juice
  • 3 tbsp sugar
  • 4 tbsp lemon juice
  • 2 tsp soy sauce, light
  • 2 tbsp tomato ketchup
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 garlic clove(s)
  • 1 onion(s)
  • 1 bell pepper(s), green
  • 100 g pineapple
  • 1 tbsp oil for frying
  • 1 tbsp corn oil

Instructions

Working time approx. 45 minutes; Total time approx. 45 minutes

Dissolve the potato flour in the water and add the pineapple juice, sugar, lemon juice, soy sauce, ketchup, and Worcestershire sauce, stirring thoroughly. Heat the oil in a pan and sauté the crushed garlic and finely diced onion. Add the diced bell pepper and sauté over medium heat for 2 minutes, stirring constantly. Fold in the pineapple chunks and add the prepared sauce. Gently bring to a boil once and let cool. Reheat and stir in the corn oil. Goes very well with grilled meat!
