Quick garlic chicken from the tray

Spread the love

Ingredients for 6 servings:

  • 6 chicken legs
  • 12 potatoes
  • 3 tbsp olive oil
  • Salt
  • pepper
  • 24 cloves garlic
  • 4 tbsp maple syrup, alternatively honey

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Rest time approx. 1 hour; Total time approx. 1 hour 20 minutes

Divide the chicken thighs (into thighs and drumsticks). Wash the potatoes thoroughly and halve them. Season the chicken pieces, potato halves, and unpeeled garlic cloves with salt, pepper, and oil (this works best if you mix everything in a large bowl), then spread them out on a baking sheet or in a large casserole dish. Drizzle everything with maple syrup. Bake in the oven at 190°C for about 3/4 to 1 hour. Cooking time depends on the thickness of the potatoes and chicken pieces. Check again after 40 minutes. Serve in the baking dish, squeezing the soft garlic cloves from their skins and spreading them on the potato halves. Moisten the juices with baguette. All quantities can be varied according to your taste.
