Ingredients for 8 servings:
- 8 pork neck steak(s)
- 1 onion(s)
- 1 piece(s) ginger root, walnut-sized
- 3 tbsp red wine vinegar
- 1 tbsp brown sugar
- 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tsp. clove powder
- 6 tbsp oil
- salt and pepper
Instructions
Working time approx. 20 minutes; Rest time approx. 2 hours; Cooking/baking time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 2 hours 30 minutes
Wash the neck steaks, pat them dry, and place them in a bowl. For the marinade, peel the onion and ginger, then finely chop both. Heat the red wine vinegar in a saucepan, add the sugar, and stir to dissolve. Mix with the onion, ginger, Worcestershire sauce, pepper, and cloves. Finally, whisk in the oil. Drizzle the marinade over the steaks, cover, and chill for at least 2 hours. Pat the meat dry and grill on a hot grill for 8-10 minutes. Season with salt and pepper, if desired. The marinade is also delicious for marinating poultry.
