South African meat skewers

Dice the meat. Crush the garlic and mix it with the curry powder, sugar, vinegar, jam, salt, pepper, and oil. Marinate the meat and dried apricots in the mixture for a few hours, preferably overnight. Chop the onions into large pieces and then thread them onto wooden skewers, alternating with the meat and apricots. Grill them. Sosaties are typical South African skewers for the braai (barbecue). There are no limits to creativity here; you can also thread bacon, other vegetables, or even fresh apricots onto the skewers.
