Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 1 ½ cup(s) mayonnaise (preferably homemade)
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 2 tbsp chives, freshly chopped
  • 2 dashes of Tabasco
  • 6 slice(s) toast bread, white and large
  • 180 g chicken breast or turkey breast, sliced
  • 2 tomatoes, sliced
  • 8 lettuce leaves
  • 12 slice(s) crispy fried bacon
  • 4 slices of cheese (Swiss cheese or Gruyere)
  • 1 ½ avocado(s), sliced

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

For the seasoned mayonnaise, mix the first six ingredients. Spread the mayonnaise evenly over the toasted bread. Top two slices of toast with the roasted chicken or turkey breast. Layer the tomato slices, lettuce leaves, and half of the bacon on top. Place the next slice of toast on top, mayonnaise-side up. Now add the cheese, avocado, and remaining lettuce. Finally, add the remaining tomato slices and bacon. Place the remaining slices of toast on top, mayonnaise-side down, and press down gently. Cut the sandwiches diagonally in half using a large, sharp knife.
