for shining eyes for young and old, makes 12 pieces

For the batter, cream together 200g butter (room temperature) and 150g sugar. Mix 200g flour and half a sachet of baking powder, then add about 2 tablespoons of this to the butter mixture and mix well. Add one egg and mix. Add another 2 tablespoons of the flour mixture and mix in. Add the second egg and mix. Now add the rest of the flour mixture and mix everything until the batter is smooth. Preheat the oven to 160°C (fan oven). Fill the cupcake cases 2/3 full with batter and place in the oven for 20-25 minutes to bake. Once done, let them cool. While the cakes are in the oven, there is enough time to prepare the cream. Cream together 200g butter (room temperature) and 200g sugar, then add the cream cheese a spoonful at a time. Now you can leave the golden-yellow cream as it is or color it with food coloring or cocoa. Your creativity knows no bounds. You can even add a subtle flavor (e.g., cherry, woodruff, vanilla, lemon, or strawberry) using the appropriate syrup. Finally, pipe or spread the finished cream onto the cooled cakes and decorate as desired.
