Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 3 onions (vegetable onions)
  • 200 g flour or a little more
  • 500 ml vegetable oil, for frying
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 3 eggs
  • 100 ml beer

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes

Baked onion rings

Mix flour, salt, eggs, and beer into a smooth batter. Now cut onion rings about 1 cm wide. Dip the rings in the batter and then place them in hot oil at about 180°C and fry for 2 minutes. Garlic sauce or tomato ketchup are great for dipping the rings.
