Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 400 g white cabbage
  • 1 carrot(s)
  • 60 ml white wine vinegar
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 1 tbsp flour
  • 1 tsp mustard powder
  • Salt
  • 60 ml cream
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 2 eggs

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Coleslaw

Finely shred the white cabbage and finely grate the carrot. Combine the vinegar with the sugar, flour, mustard powder, and salt and bring to a boil, stirring constantly. Add the cream and butter and continue stirring. Whisk the eggs with some of the hot liquid and add to the mixture, mixing quickly and thoroughly. Once the mixture thickens, remove from the heat and transfer to a large bowl. Stir in the white cabbage and carrot and let it simmer. Tip: You can also stir in leek rings and/or mayonnaise.
