  • 1 point pasta (any kind)
  • 1 cup whipped cream
  • 1 small can of tomatoes, peeled
  • some tomato paste
  • Salt
  • pepper
  • 1 handful of basil (dried)
  • some oregano
  • 1 clove(s) garlic
  • 1 handful of cheese (grated Emmental)

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

American version of pasta in tomato sauce

Since the sauce doesn’t take much time, boil the pasta water. When the water boils, add the pasta. Rub half of the clove into a pan, add the cream and tomatoes, and simmer for about 3-5 minutes. Now mix the tomato paste with the basil, oregano, salt, and pepper, and press in half of the garlic clove. Stir everything until smooth and add to the pan. Stir everything again until smooth and simmer over medium to slightly higher heat for about 10 minutes. Add the Emmental cheese for the last two minutes, stirring constantly until the Emmental cheese has melted.
