Spicy white cabbage pan

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 300 g pork schnitzel or chicken breast
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 onion(s)
  • 1 piece(s) ginger, approx. 5 cm
  • 1 head of white cabbage
  • 2 tsp oil
  • 100 ml vegetable stock
  • 1 tsp paprika powder
  • 320 g rice, cooked
  • Salt
  • chili powder
  • Sambal Oelek

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Rest time approx. 30 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour 5 minutes

Cut the meat into thin strips and marinate in the soy sauce for about 30 minutes. Peel and dice the onion, peel and finely chop the ginger. Remove the cabbage stalk and slice the cabbage. Sauté the onions and ginger in hot oil until translucent. Add the meat and sauté thoroughly. Stir in the cabbage strips, pour in the broth, and simmer for about 15 minutes. Stir in the paprika and rice. Continue cooking briefly while stirring, then season to taste with salt, chili powder, and sambal oelek.
