Ingredients for 5 servings:
- 5 hamburger buns
- 500 g minced meat, half and half
- 6 tbsp breadcrumbs
- 1 egg(s)
- salt and pepper
- Paprika powder
- 1 tbsp mustard
- 10 slices of bacon
- 5 slice(s) of cheese e.g. Gouda or Emmental
- 1 lettuce(s)
- 5 cucumber(s)
- 1 cup fried onions
- 3 tomatoes, depending on size
- n. B. Remoulade
- e.g. BBQ sauce
Instructions
Working time approx. 30 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 40 minutes
Burgers for the next barbecue
Dice the onion and mix with the minced meat, egg, and breadcrumbs. Season with mustard, pepper, salt, and paprika. Form smaller portions into flat patties. Wash and chop the lettuce leaves, thinly slice the cucumber and tomatoes, and fry the bacon strips until crispy, then set aside on a plate lined with kitchen paper. Grill the hamburger patties thoroughly on both sides. Just before the patties are done, add a slice of cheese and place the buns on the grill to toast. Spread the remoulade sauce on the bottom of the hamburger buns and top with lettuce leaves, cucumber slices, and fried onions. Place the finished patties from the grill on top. Brush the patties with a little barbecue sauce and top with the bacon slices, tomato slices, and finally the bun lid. Serve with fries or potato wedges and sour cream on the side, if desired.
