Ingredients for 4 servings:
- 1 flatbread(s)
- 250 g minced pork
- 500 g minced beef
- 2 rolls, stale
- 3 eggs
- 2 garlic cloves, chopped
- 3 onions
- 3 tomatoes
- 3 gherkins
- 1 small head of lettuce
- Mustard
- Chili sauce (barbecue sauce)
- mayonnaise
- ketchup
Instructions
Working time approx. 35 minutes; Total time approx. 35 minutes
Make a meatball dough from the ground beef, garlic, bread rolls (soak first), two finely chopped onions, and the eggs. Shape it into the largest pan you have available. Sear it in the pan, turn it with a plate, and sear it on the other side. Then finish cooking at 170°C for about 20 minutes in the oven or at low heat in the pan. Add the flatbread to the oven for the last 2 minutes and then cut it in half. Spread barbecue sauce, ketchup, mustard, mayonnaise, and any other sauces (to taste) on the bottom and place the giant meatball on top. Cut the onions into rings, slice the cucumbers, and tomatoes, and place them on the meatball with cleaned and washed lettuce leaves. Place the top of the flatbread on top and cut it into pieces (like a cake). Decorating tip: Place a small “toothpick flag” on each piece. You can also add small pepperoni (though not at a child’s birthday party). The advantage: At a child’s birthday party, for example, children can eat it whenever they want, not when food is served!
