Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 2 bananas, overripe
  • 125 g flour
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • ½ pack of baking powder
  • 2 tbsp milk
  • Oil for frying

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes

Bola Pisang (Indonesian)

Peel the bananas and mash them with a fork. Mix the flour, sugar, baking powder, and milk into a thick, firm batter. Fold the mashed bananas into the batter. Form the batter into plum-sized balls. Heat the oil and fry the balls in batches until golden brown. Sprinkle with powdered sugar to serve. Only delicious with overripe bananas; otherwise, the flavor is lost.
