like my mother makes it

Make strudel dough from the first four ingredients and divide into 10 equal pieces. Peel, core, and finely chop the apples. Mix the apple slices with the cream, quark, and sugar. Melt the butter. Roll out each piece of dough into a square with a rolling pin, brush with melted butter, and add a tenth of the apple filling. Fold the dough together on all four sides and place seam-down in a large, greased baking dish. Brush the top with melted butter as well. Once all the strudels are in the baking dish, pour in enough milk to cover half of the strudel. Bake at 200°C for 1.5 hours.
