Paprika – meat in a wok

Spread the love

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tsp sambal oelek
  • 300 g chicken breast fillet(s), in thin strips
  • 1 cup rice (long grain rice)
  • 2 bell peppers, cut into fine strips
  • 2 spring onions, cut into 1cm pieces, including the green part!
  • 2 tbsp oil (sesame oil)
  • pepper

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Mix the soy sauce with an equal amount of water, stir in the sambal oelek, and marinate the meat for at least an hour—three hours is better. Cook the rice—it really should be long-grain rice!—as directed on the package. Heat the sesame oil in a wok and fry the drained meat in it. Be sure to save the marinade! When the meat is cooked, push it to the top of the wok and stir-fry the bell pepper strips. When they are cooked but still firm to the bite, stir-fry the meat and vegetables together and add the marinade. Now add the rice and mix everything together. Let it marinate briefly, then serve.
