Fried rice with chicken

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 1 bunch of basil
  • 1 leek(s) or 1 bunch of spring onions
  • 1 cube of chicken stock and 500 ml water
  • 400 g chicken
  • 240 g rice
  • Salt
  • 1 ¼ tbsp oil (sesame oil)
  • 2 ½ tbsp soy sauce
  • 2 pieces of ginger
  • 5 tbsp oil

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

Cook the rice in chicken broth until tender. Peel the ginger and finely grate it or cut it into very small cubes. Cut the meat into thin strips and mix with the ginger, soy sauce, sesame oil, and a little salt, then let it simmer. Wash the leek and cut it into strips. Stir-fry it in a little oil in a wok. Add the meat and cook, stirring constantly. Remove the meat from the wok, add a little more oil, and cook the rice, stirring constantly. Stir in the meat and coarsely chopped basil and serve.
