Ingredients for 3 servings:

  • 600 g pork fillet(s)
  • 2 bell peppers, red
  • 2 m.-sized onion(s)
  • 2 tbsp chili paste, red, fermented
  • 2 tbsp sesame seeds, roasted
  • 2 tbsp maple syrup
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp fish sauce
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • e.g. peanut oil

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 1 hour 20 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour 35 minutes

from the oven

Cut the onions and bell peppers into bite-sized pieces, then place them in an oiled baking dish. Mix both. Place the vegetables in the oven and set the temperature to 200°C (top/bottom heat). Cook the vegetables for about 40 minutes. During this time, cut the fillet into 3 cm thick slices. For the marinade, mix the ingredients and marinate the meat for 40 minutes. Remove the vegetables from the oven and spread the marinade over the meat. Return the dish to the oven and cook for another 40 minutes. Tip: This dish is delicious if you have time. It’s almost effortless. The oven does everything. If it’s too spicy, simply add 1 tablespoon of sour cream when serving.
