Asian rice meatballs

Spread the love

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 250 g minced meat, mixed, or beef
  • 50 g basmati rice
  • 20 g breadcrumbs
  • 1 small egg(s)
  • 1 cm ginger, fresh
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • e.g. chili pepper(s)
  • n. B. Sambal Oelek
  • n. B. Pfeffer

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

Wash and cook the rice according to the instructions. Peel and finely chop the ginger. Knead all ingredients thoroughly and form into small balls. You can either steam the balls for 10 minutes using a steamer, sauté them in a homemade sauce for 10 minutes, or roll them in breadcrumbs and fry them for a few minutes in sesame oil. We like to serve them with a sweet and sour sauce. Tomato sauce is also possible, but it doesn’t taste as Asian. Serve with steamed carrots and rice, or even homemade oven-baked French fries.
