Baked asparagus

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 500 g asparagus
  • 100 g Parmesan, fresh
  • 100 g butter
  • 1 point Béarnaise sauce
  • Salt
  • Sugar

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 35 minutes; Total time approx. 55 minutes

Peel the asparagus and cook with a little salt, sugar, and a knob of butter for about 5-9 minutes. Drain the asparagus and place it in an ovenproof dish. Melt the butter, but do not brown it, and pour it over the asparagus. Drizzle with the Béarnaise sauce (about 1/2 package) and add 3 tablespoons of the asparagus water. Bake everything in a preheated oven at 225 degrees Celsius for about 10-15 minutes. Then sprinkle with freshly grated Parmesan cheese and return everything to the oven for about 5 minutes. Serve with baguette or ciabatta. Serve with a green salad and wine or beer.
