Ingredients for 1 servings:
- 375 g butter or margarine
- 180 g sugar
- 375 g flour
- ¾ pack of baking powder
- 3 eggs
- 125 g granulated sugar
- 100 g almond(s) (almond sticks)
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- ½ liter cream
Instructions
Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes
with cinnamon and granulated sugar
Make a batter from the butter, sugar, eggs, flour, and baking powder, then divide the mixture into quarters. Using a 26cm springform pan, spread each piece onto prepared baking sheets (the batter will not spread). Mix the granulated sugar with the cinnamon and almonds, also divide into quarters, and sprinkle onto the four layers. Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C (convection oven) for approx. 15 minutes until golden brown. Allow to cool. Whip the cream until stiff peaks form. Spread 1/3 of the cream each on three of the layers and place them together. Finish with the last layer. Let it sit for a day before serving. This recipe is from my sister-in-law’s grandmother—so it’s very old.
