Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 2 tbsp margarine
  • 1 m.-sized onion(s)
  • 2 tbsp flour
  • ¾ liter of milk
  • 1 tsp, heaped salt

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 10 minutes

Sauce for boiled potatoes, typically East Frisian

Finely chop the onion. Heat the margarine in a pan, add the onions, and fry until browned. Then add the flour and let it brown briefly. Then, while stirring constantly, add the milk, bring to a boil, and simmer for about 10 minutes on low heat, stirring frequently. Season with salt. Delicious with boiled potatoes.
