Ingredients for 1 servings:
- 80 g spelt flour (wholemeal)
- 80 g cane sugar
- 2 egg yolks
- 70 g butter
- 125 g walnuts, grated
- ½ tsp ginger powder
- 1 pinch of cardamom
- Walnuts (halves), for decoration
Instructions
Working time approx. 45 minutes; Rest time approx. 1 hour; Total time approx. 1 hour 45 minutes
for 30 pieces
Knead all ingredients into a shortcrust pastry and shape into a 3-4 cm diameter roll. Chill for about 30 minutes. Cut the roll into 1/2 cm thick slices, place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, and decorate each with a walnut half. Bake at 180°C for about 10-12 minutes until light brown.
