Ingredients for 4 servings:
- 25 g butter
- 250g tofu
- 1 carrot(s)
- 2 m.-sized onion(s)
- 1 tbsp herbs of your choice, finely chopped
- 4 tbsp oat flakes
- 1 egg(s)
- salt and pepper
- 4 tbsp oil for frying
- some stock powder
Instructions
Working time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes
Mash the tofu finely with a fork. Melt the butter and fry the mashed tofu, stirring, until it turns yellowish-brown. Mix with the granulated stock, herbs, oats, and egg. Peel and finely grate the carrot and onion. Add them to the tofu and mix well. Season with salt, pepper (and other spices to taste), and herbs. Heat the oil in a pan. Form the tofu dough into small, flat patties. Fry in the hot oil for about 5 minutes on each side until crispy. This goes best with mashed potatoes and a vegetable dish such as red cabbage.
