Vegan raw food brownies

Spread the love

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 200 g almonds or hazelnuts, ground
  • 200 g pitted dates
  • Boiling water for soaking
  • 100 g cocoa powder, unsweetened
  • some desiccated coconut
  • some syrup (agave syrup)
  • some oat flakes
  • some water
  • possibly chocolate (chocolate drops), vegan or cranberries or banana chips

Instructions

Working time approx. 5 minutes; Rest time approx. 4 hours; Total time approx. 4 hours 5 minutes

Super chocolatey brownies, vegan, without flour, sugar, eggs or butter

Place the ground nuts and cocoa powder in a bowl. Soak the dates in a little boiling water and puree (drain off any excess water first). Now add the date mixture to the nuts and cocoa and knead. Depending on how firm or soft the mixture is, add a few rolled oats or water. You can now sweeten the mixture to taste with agave syrup, apple syrup, or honey (not vegan!). Chocolate chips, cranberries, or freeze-dried bananas can be used for additional refinement. Now spread the mixture in a baking dish lined with plastic wrap. Chill overnight (if you can wait that long), or for at least 4 hours, or let it set in the freezer.
