Juicing fruit with the Thermomix

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 750 ml water
  • 750 g fruit (currants, grapes, etc.)

Instructions

Working time approx. 5 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 45 minutes; Total time approx. 50 minutes

for further processing into jelly, syrup

Pour water into the mixing bowl. Place a bowl for approx. 0.5 l of liquid into the simmering basket and hang it in place. Close the mixing bowl. Attach the simmering basket and add the fruit. Then juice for approx. 45 minutes on level 2 (switch on the Varoma!). Empty the contents of the bowl into a measuring jug or similar every 15 minutes. Juicing may take a little longer. It depends on the fruit. You’ll notice how much juice is still being produced. Check occasionally that there is still enough water in the mixing bowl. I used the juice to make jelly and juice and simply froze the rest in ice cube bags.
