Fennel – millet – porridge

Ingredients for 6 servings:

  • 300 g fennel
  • 250 g potatoes
  • 200 g apples
  • 50 g millet (millet flakes)
  • 75 ml apple juice
  • 6 tbsp oil (rapeseed oil)

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

From the 5th month

Wash and trim the fennel, remove the fennel greens, and chop finely. Wash, peel, and finely dice the potatoes and apples. Heat 1/4 liter of water, cover, and simmer the fennel and potatoes for about 15 minutes. Add the diced apples and cook for another 5 minutes. Sprinkle in the millet flakes and cook the porridge for 3 minutes, stirring constantly. Then add the apple juice and oil and puree until smooth. The porridge can be frozen in portions after it has cooled. My son loves it because the apple makes it taste very sweet!
