Quince juice for versatile use from the steam juicer

Spread the love

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 5 kg quince(s)

Instructions

Working time approx. 1 hour; Total time approx. 1 hour

the list is certainly not complete

No other ingredients are added, otherwise the natural flavor will be lost. Rub the quinces with a cloth and finely grate them around the core using a grater. Place them in the basket of a steam juicer and juice for at least one hour. Pour into prepared bottles for storage and seal immediately. Save the core and boil it separately in a little water; this is where the pectin is. Possible uses for the juice: – Quince jelly, using the juice from the boiled cores – Mix with mineral water – Add to tea – Especially to enhance the flavor of health teas – With duck, game, and many roasts; I always make a small supply in ice cube trays for this – It adds a special flavor to various desserts – Mix with windfall fruit 1:1 while juicing, or enjoy the juice neat
