Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 250 g split peas
  • Water, cold for soaking
  • 1 onion(s)
  • 1 egg(s)
  • some salt and pepper
  • some oil for frying
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • a few sprigs of dill
  • some water

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Rest time approx. 12 hours; Total time approx. 12 hours 30 minutes

Falafel in Ukrainian style, vegetarian, spicy, simple, Ukrainian cuisine

Soak the split peas in cold water overnight, then drain. Peel and roughly chop one onion, then puree it with the peas in a food processor. Stir in one egg, season with salt and pepper. Form into patties using a tablespoon and fry in hot oil in a pan on both sides. For the sauce, puree two garlic cloves, dill, a little salt, and 200 ml water. Serve the sauce in a small bowl.
