Tzatziki – simply different

Spread the love

Ingredients for 10 servings:

  • 6 cucumber(s)
  • 9 cloves garlic
  • 1 bunch of dill
  • 2 cups sour cream
  • 3 cups of crème fraîche
  • salt and pepper

Instructions

Working time approx. 35 minutes; Rest time approx. 3 hours; Total time approx. 3 hours 35 minutes

without yogurt

Grate the cucumbers and place them in a sieve. Salt them generously to ensure they lose plenty of water. Don’t worry, they won’t be too salty. Let them stand for about 1-2 hours, draining the water halfway through. Finely chop the garlic and dill, more finely than the cucumbers. Mix the cucumbers with the garlic (my family says there’s never too much), sour cream, crème fraîche, and dill. Season with salt and pepper. It’s best to let them stand for a few more hours.
