Mushrooms like from the Christmas market – with garlic sauce

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 300 g mushrooms, small
  • 1 small onion(s)
  • 1 tsp rapeseed oil or olive oil
  • 10 g butter
  • e.g. salt and pepper
  • 2 tsp sweet paprika powder
  • 2 tsp paprika powder, smoked
  • e.g. parsley
  • 200 g sour cream or low-fat curd cheese
  • 1 tsp mayonnaise
  • 2 tsp maple syrup
  • 1 tsp white wine vinegar
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • e.g. salt and pepper

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Rest time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Bring your favorite Christmas market food home

First make the sauce so it can infuse better: Combine all the sauce ingredients in a bowl (press the garlic through a garlic press) and stir well. Then cover and refrigerate for 10 minutes to infuse. For the mushrooms: Clean the mushrooms and halve or quarter them if necessary. Peel the onions and dice them. Place the mushrooms in a pan over high heat without oil and fry for 5 minutes. Add 1 pinch of salt, the butter and 1 teaspoon of oil. Add the onions and reduce the heat to medium. Fry everything for another 1-2 minutes and season with the paprika and pepper. Season to taste with salt and pepper and garnish with parsley. Now serve the mushrooms with the garlic sauce.
