Onion rings with cheese from the oven

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 1 large onion(s)
  • 1 egg(s)
  • 50 g Parmesan, grated
  • 50 g Gouda, grated
  • salt and pepper

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 25 minutes

Preheat the oven to 180°C fan/convection oven. Prepare two bowls. In the first, add the egg, salt, and pepper, and in the second, add the cheese. Cut the onions into rings about 0.5–1 cm thick. Dip them first in the egg, then in the cheese, and place them on a baking sheet lined with baking paper. Sprinkle the remaining cheese over the rings. Bake in the oven for about 15 minutes. They’re done when golden brown. Serve with sour cream.
