Sweet chocolate-cherry couscous

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 80 g couscous (e.g. Müllers Mühle)
  • 1 tbsp, crushed cocoa powder, heavily deoiled (e.g. Naturata)
  • some cinnamon (Ceylon cinnamon)
  • 160 ml water
  • 1 tsp pumpkin seed oil, Styrian
  • 1 tsp, heaped rapeseed honey or a stronger honey, such as mixed flower honey
  • 1 tbsp currants, unoiled (e.g. Rapunzel)
  • n. B. Sweet cherries from the jar and 4 tbsp of the juice

Instructions

Working time approx. 5 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes

Place the couscous, cocoa powder, and cinnamon in a soup bowl and mix with a fork. Bring the water to a boil and pour over the couscous. After letting it soak for 10 minutes, fluff the couscous with a fork. Add the cherry juice, oil, honey, and currants and mix into the couscous. Finally, scatter as many cherries as you like on top. Enjoy warm or cold.
