Ingredients for 1 servings:
- ½ pack of Schupfnudeln (or 250 g homemade)
- ½ onion(s)
- 2 eggs
- ½ bell pepper(s)
- 2 tbsp sauce (salsa), mild or hot
- 4 slices of cheese (e.g. Gouda or Butterkäse)
- e.g. salt and pepper
- e.g. chili powder
- some butter or oil for frying
- n. B. herbs
- e.g. cumin
Instructions
Working time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 10 minutes
Cut the dumplings into small slices. Peel and finely dice the onion. Trim and dice the bell pepper. In a preheated pan, fry the dumplings with the onion in a little butter or oil, then add the bell pepper pieces. Meanwhile, whisk the eggs with the salsa and seasonings. Chop the cheese into small pieces and mix with the dumplings once they are lightly browned. Then, once the cheese has melted, add the eggs to the pan. Continue frying, turning occasionally, until the egg mixture is set. Serve with the salsa.
