Simple onion and bacon cake

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 5 large onions
  • 4 eggs
  • 200 g flour
  • 250 g diced ham
  • 250 g cheese, grated
  • 200 ml sour cream
  • butter
  • Salt

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

Peel the onions and slice them into half rings. Lightly fry them in a pan with a little butter. Let them cool. In a bowl, combine the flour, eggs, 200g of cheese, and sour cream. Add the diced ham and onions, season with salt and pepper, and mix well. Pour the batter into a 26cm springform pan (lined with baking paper, or a buttered and floured quiche dish) and sprinkle with the remaining cheese. Bake in an oven preheated to 200°C for about 25 minutes. Serve with a mixed salad.
