Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 1 tbsp oil
  • 400 g beef, shredded
  • 50 g bacon
  • 1 onion(s)
  • 1 tbsp flour
  • 2 dl water
  • 1 tsp vegetable broth or beef broth, instant
  • pepper
  • Paprika powder
  • 4 tomatoes

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 50 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour 5 minutes

Swiss recipe

Fry the bacon cubes until translucent and remove from the pan. Heat oil in the pan and brown the beef over high heat. Finely chop the onion and add it, reduce the heat to low, and sauté the onion while stirring. Sprinkle 1 tablespoon of flour over the meat, deglaze with 2 dl of water, and bring to a boil. Season with stock, pepper, and paprika, and add the bacon cubes. Cover and simmer on low heat for about 40 minutes. Peel and slice the 4 tomatoes, and add them to the pan for the last 15 minutes. (Alternatively, use canned diced tomatoes.)
