Baked feta cheese

Spread the love

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 2 slices of feta cheese
  • 1 cup of cream
  • 6 tbsp sauce (Texicana salsa)
  • 2 bell peppers, red
  • 4 tbsp olive oil
  • 5 cloves garlic

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 45 minutes

Place the feta cheese in a baking dish, finely chop the garlic, and sprinkle it over the feta cheese. Then drizzle with olive oil. Wash, deseed, and finely chop the bell peppers, then place them around the feta cheese in the baking dish. Mix the cream with the Texicana salsa (amount according to taste and spiciness). Pour the sauce over the bell peppers and feta cheese. Then cover the baking dish. Bake everything together at 200°C (top/bottom heat) for about 30 minutes, removing the lid 10 minutes before the end of the cooking time if necessary. Note: Instead of just bell peppers, you can also combine the dish with onions, leeks, eggplant, zucchini, etc., as desired. Serve with white bread. The baked feta cheese tastes particularly good with grilled food in the summer. Place the feta cheese in an aluminum tray and place it on the grill next to it.
