Fried onions from the air fryer

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 1 large onion(s), approx. 200 g
  • 2 tbsp balsamic vinegar, lighter
  • some salt
  • 2 tbsp rapeseed oil

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Rest time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 55 minutes

Peel the onion and slice it into 3 mm thick slices. Separate the slices into individual rings and toss them in a bowl with 2 tablespoons of balsamic vinegar. Let the onion rest for 15 minutes. Remove the onion rings from the bowl and pat them dry with a cloth. Return the rings to the bowl, add a little salt to taste, and mix. Add the oil and mix everything thoroughly again. Preheat the air fryer to 120 °C and arrange the onion rings in the basket. Fry the rings for about 30 minutes until golden brown and crispy, turning every 5 minutes.
